How do you shrink a mesh hat?

Q: I need to shrink a hat I bought at the College World Series. It is too big and it is a mesh nike Texas Longhorns hat.

A: Don't try it!!! The mesh and non mesh parts may shrink to different degrees and it will get wrinkles and puckers in it. I've shrunk hats by accident trying to clean them and they look terrible. I would recommend selling it to someone else and buying a new one that fits you better.
