As the new international face behind the burgeoning fashion scene in the Emirate, Simon has been handed – what people in the local fashion industry have labelled an arduous task – the responsibility of putting Dubai Fashion Week on the international fashion map. Ahlan! Live’s Shannon Wylie caught up with the Australian fashion expert to find out how he’s set to shake up the industry event.
Always ask where did tie?Well, the tie back to the time of the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) when this new article of clothing started a fashion craze in Europe, where men and women wore pieces of cloth around their necks. Today, ties are long pieces of fabric hanging from the neck, resting under the shirt collar and knotted at the throat. They come in different sizes to meet different age and height of the wearer....

I think you should wear the black pants and go with a dandelion yellow dress shirt. If you don't look good in yellow/don't like yellow, you can pick another solid color. If you go for a printed shirt, make sure there is some black in it, just for the sake of being matching.

I think the solid black pants would be best. As to the shirt, back when men wore those kinds of ties one almost never saw a man in a colored shirt! Isn't that amazing? But honestly, colored shirts are a fairly recent style for men.
