Q: I recently saw a pair of blue and black vertically striped knee high socks on tv (don't remember what I was watching). Anyone know where I can find vertically striped knee/thigh highs?

Ok. YOu might want to try Hot Topic or Urban Outfitters. If you can't find anything there, try going to Bloomingdales, Dillards, Boscovs, or Nordstroms. I don't know if you will find blue and black exactly, but you might find something.

It turns out that Wendy in Russia is a little sexy Wendy in the states.

The Moscow Times reports that Wendy in Moscow - the first stand-alone location in Russia - featuring two girls outside the restaurant dressed as Wendy for the opening of the site. Of course, the girls had braids and ribbons signature, but they wore short dresses, striped knee socks and high heels - which, now that we think about it, sounds like a "sexy" Halloween costume.

Striped Socks of May « Rocks, Waves, Beach

I’m still averaging a pair of socks a month, I’m just not following the calendar months it would appear. I finished the May striped socks last week and delivered them to my Mum this week-end. She was quite happy to have a pair of socks without holes in her drawer.

The pattern was my own, a basic stockinette sock with a short row heel and wedge toe. I went down in needle size to try to make the fabric a little denser, thinking it might help with the holes. Mum is sceptical, she thinks the holes are just because she wears them all day every day. The yarn is Lang Yarns Super Soxx. I bought a number of skeins of this yarn (different colourways) a couple of years ago at a great sale price. I love the colours....
