A white man in his late 20s or early 30s entered the Golden Pantry 2350 West Broad St. (near the intersection of Camellia Drive) just before 7 am Saturday, lifted his shirt to show a pistol in his belt and demanded money, according to Athens-Clarke police.
He then left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery.
The man is 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches and 170 to 175 pounds.
He was clean shaven and wearing a black or navy blue ball cap with a red beak of brown hair, a red polo shirt with horizontal white stripes, black or navy shorts, and sandals or loafers without socks.

Not true. It depends on the material of the sock, not the color.
White socks are usually made of cotton material and so they absorb the moisture better which is why they don't make your feet smell unless you have an infection. Colored socks are normally made of man made fibers so they do not wick the moisture away like white socks do causing your feet to stay sweaty and increases the chance of athletes foot et
Some peoples sweat has a reaction to the die in sox. It could by sythetic fabrics also.
It's not because of the colour... it because of the fabric. Most white socks are cotton where as most blacks socks are designed to be dressier so they have more of the nylon blends in them... Its the nylon that makes your feet smell and stink not the colour.
